K A R E N K A U F M A N W I L S O N Karen Kaufman Wilson served as Vice President of Production and Development for Bob Teitel and George Tillman's State Street Pictures, where she oversaw the development of 25 film and television projects for the Fox based production company. There, she played an instrumental role in the development of the box office hit BARBERSHOP starring Ice Cube and Cedric The Entertainer. Additionally, Kaufman Willson set up numerous film projects at MGM and FOX with budget ranges from $10-40 million.
Prior to State Street Pictures, Kaufman Wilson worked as Vice President of Production for Monarch Pictures/Twentieth Century Fox for director Carl Franklin (ONE FALSE MOVE, DEVIL IN A BLUE DRESS, ONE TRUE THING) where she also set up a movie at ShowTime based on her life story and involvement in the NFL.
Before joining Monarch, Kaufman Wilson served as a Creative Executive for Trimark Pictures, where she Associate Produced SPRUNG, directed by Rusty Cundieff. In addition, Kaufman Wilson worked as a Creative Executive at Walt Disney Feature Animation.
Kaufman Wilson began her career as a development assistant for Danny Glover's film company then worked in production on the films, BOOMERANG and SUGAR HILL. She graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with a degree in Business Administration. |
